Mrs. Violet Anderson Bullock, 84 of Madisonville, KY died at 4:05 P.M. Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville, KY.

Born January 26, 1921, in Powderly, KY she was the daughter of the late Ernest Murphy and Laura Randolph Murphy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond T. Anderson in 1977, one son, Henry R. Anderson on 11-18-2003, three sisters, Cosbie Cooksey, Marie West, and Annie Laura Murphy, and two brothers, James and John Murphy.

Mrs. Bullock was a homemaker, a member of New Beginnings Church of Madisonville, Regional Senior Citizens Center and loved to play Canasta.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Lear of Greenville, KY, Linda Kowalkowski of Madisonville and Carla Hall of Greenville; one son, David E. Anderson of Madisonville; one sister, Ruth Murphy Carr of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 21, 2005, at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Dewayne Preston Brown and Bro. Richard Day officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2005, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and after 10:00 A.M. until the service time on Friday at the funeral home.
