Charles Wright, 76, of Eola in Concho County, died at 3:25 a.m. Friday in the Sweetwater Hospital. He had been in failing health for some time.
Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Eola Methodist Church. Burial will be in Eola Cemetery with Cale-Spencer Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Wright was born March 4, 1879 in Erath County. He had lived in Eola for 35 years and was engaged in farming.
His wife died 18 years ago.
Survivors include two sons, R.C. of Sweetwater, and Leonard of Eola; two daughters, Mrs. G.F. Jones of San Angelo, and Mrs. E. L. Jones of Nolan; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Walter Wright of Cisco, J. A. Wright of Bronte, and Presley Wright of Mangum, Okla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Lassitor of San Angelo and Mrs. Lela Houston of Amarillo.
