Avard Lamoine "Babe" Hashman, 84, of Corning, passed away Monday, December 12, 2005 at Sunbridge nursing home in New Lexington. He was born March 4, 1921, the son of the late Avard and Lela Ruth Brady Hashman. He was married to Frances Allen Hashman, who survives.

Babe was the owner of Hashman Roofing in Chauncey, was a member of the Golden Wings of Chauncey and the Eagles in Corning.

He is survived by one son, John (Connie) Hashman of Corning, and a daughter-in-law, Judy Hashman of Glouster, nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, and one sister, Anna Miku of Dunnallen, Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry J. Hashman Sr., two grandchildren, Jerry and Susan Hashman, one brother, Fred Hashman, and a sister, Gwendolyn Frazier.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 12:00 P.M. at Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main Street, Glouster with Pastor Ernie Eing officiating. Interment will be at Zion Cemetery, Portersville Ohio in Morgan County. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Glouster.
