Pauline "McDonald" Faytok, 94, died Monday, March 14, 2011, at the Benton Rehabilitation Center in Benton

The visitation will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher. The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Andrews Catholic Church in Christopher with Father Joseph Trapp officiating.

Pauline was born Jan. 5, 1917, in Du Quoin.
She was one of six children of George and Emma (Helmer) McDonald.
All of Pauline's siblings precede her in death: brothers Clarence, Paul and George McDonald, and sisters Frances "Boots" Poiter and Ginger McDonald. Pauline is also preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, George Faytok.

Pauline was the proud mother of three children. She is survived by her eldest son, Jim Anderton of Marissa, and daughter, Suzanne (Anderton) Roule and son-in-law Rudy Roule of Christopher. Pauline is preceded in death by her youngest son, Brent Anderton, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Anderton.

Pauline is survived by eight grandchildren: Rudy Roule Jr. (and wife Janette Roule) of Mulkeytown, Cheryl (Roule) McKenzie (and husband Shane McKenzie) of Charlotte, N.C., Steven Roule (and wife Rhonda Roule) of Covington, Ga., Michele (Roule) Swenson (and husband Barry Swenson) of Paducah, Ky., Jim Anderton, Janet (Anderton) Laupzenheifer (and husband Lee Laupzenheifer) of Coraleille, Iowa, Crystal (Anderton) Sutton (and husband Brian Sutton) of Downers Grove, and Amanda (Anderton) Linn (and husband Steve Linn) of Waukesha, Wis.

Pauline was the great-grandmother to 11 great grandchildren:
Justin and Jared Roule, Ryanne and Wesley McKenzie, Sidney Roule, Ian Swenson, Conor, Jonah, and Addison Sutton, and Gavin and Delaney Linn.

Pauline is also survived by two nieces, Tari Terry of Benton and Frances Stewart of Du Quoin, and her cousin, Pete Helmer of Du Quoin.

Pauline dedicated herself to her family and faith. She was a long standing member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Christopher.

She retired from the garment industry after 25 years of service to devote her time and love to her family. Pauline lived a full life where she enjoyed dancing, reading and taking walks.
