Ila R. Brown, 94, of Nampa, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. A viewing will be held prior to the services starting at 9 a.m.
Burial will follow the services at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa. The Rev. Bud Yadon will officiate.
Mrs. Brown was born on May 10, 1916 in Powell, S.D., to Dan and Rosa Kelchner. She moved to Martin, S.D., when she was 10 years of age and then to Nampa when she was 17. She graduated from Nampa High School in 1934.
Ila married Clinton Brown on June 8, 1941, in Naches, Wash., and they moved to Nampa in 1942. She worked at Electronic TV Service for many years and at the Idaho State School and Hospital for a short time. For many years she raised goats and sold milk in the Nampa area.
She attended church most of her life where she enjoyed playing the piano or violin. Music was always important to her. A good game of "Scrabble" always rated high on he list of things to do.
She is survived by: one daughter, Mildred Dahm, of Salt Lake City, Utah; and two sons, Milton (Peggy) Brown, of Bremerton, Wash., and Dan Brown, of Nampa.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
