Marvin Elwood Collins, 72, died Tuesday at his home, 1007 North Border Street.
A retired carpenter, he was a native of Murfreesboro, Tenn. He was a Baptist and World War veteran.
Survivors are his wife; stepson, L. G. McCall of Childress; two brothers, Lark Collins of Kirkland and Shelley [sic] Collins of Childress and several nieces and nephews.
He was a resident of Johnson County for 13 years.
Funeral is pending at Crosier-Pearson funeral home. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery.
