Jack J. "Jack" Almond


John J. "Jack" Almond, 85, of Exeter Twp., passed away on Saturday March 12 in the St. Joseph Medical Center.
He was born in Upper Darby to the late Charles and Bessie (Jackson) Almond. His wife survives him, Mentana "Tana" (Morelli) Almond.
Mr. Almond was a supervisor of sheet metal for Boeing for 32 years until he retired in 1984. He was a lifetime member of Cardington Fire Co. He was a former trustee of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Clifton Heights. He was a current member at Trinity U.C.C., Mt. Penn.
He was predeceased by a brother, Charles and sisters, Betty Benetsky, Rose Bailey and Mildred Almond.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters, Janet L. wife of Dennis A. Barcaro of King of Prussia and Jacki A. wife of Doug S. Tase of Exeter Twp.; grandchildren: Lauren DiRomualdo, Matthew Barcaro, Carolyn and Christine Tase; brother, George Almond of Upper Darby.
Visitation and Service: The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. to noon in Trinity U.C.C. 2447 Cumberland Ave., Mt. Penn, PA 19606. Memorial services will follow at noon.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation, P.O. Box 313, Reading, PA 19603 or Trinity U.C.C. Memorial Fund at the above address.
