Daughter of John and Elma Ledbetter. On July 10 1965,Zuline married "the love of her life",Billy Putman(son of Charlie and Nellie Putman). Together they raised three children, Jayna,Scott, and Jason and had two grandchildren,Jesse and Leah, born to son and daughter-in-law,Scott and Mechelle. Jesse and Leah called her "Ma-Lene". This close family lovinly and faithfully nurtured"Ma-Lene" through a long and severe illness,During which she continued to be concerned about others, striving to get better to go see someone else. Listening to Zuline in conversation ,you would find her to be unjudgemental, always ready to excuse and not accuse. Her words of wisdom to others in trouble were"I don't know what the Lord's will is,but whatever He does will be right". At 2:58 on the morning of August 2, 2002,with her family all gathered around bidding her farewell, "Ma-Lene" got to go home. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. But as she would say,"what the Lord does is right".
