AGNES L. UNDERWOOD, 94, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at Canterbury Nursing Home. She spent over 20,000 hours of volunteer work for military associations; was named Ladies Auxiliary Person of the Year; and was a member of D.A.V.A, V.F.W. 10006, AMVETS 55 and 40/8.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty J. Hoppel of Fort Wayne and Marilyn J. Beam of Arcola; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh, in 1993.
Service is Thursday 11:30 a.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior to the service. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to the family.
