NORA BELLE KAMMEYER, 85 of Woodburn, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Saint Anne Home & Retirement Community, Fort Wayne. Born in Jay County, she married Arnold E. Kammeyer of Woodburn on May 23, 1942. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Woodburn and Christ Lutheran Women.

Survived by her sons, Steven (Gwen) Kammeyer of Woodburn, Timothy W. (Rose) Kammeyer of Maquoketa, Iowa and John (Victoria Kammeyer of Charleston, S.C.; brothers, Glenn Avey and Wallace Avey, both of Ossian; sisters, Glee McWhorter and Treva Poinsett, both of Fort Wayne and Ruby Ash of Des Moines, Iowa; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Arnold E., in 1981; four brothers; and one sister.

Service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St., Woodburn, with calling one hour prior to service time. Calling is also from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy. 930 E., New Haven. Burial at church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Woodburn Lutheran School or Cancer Services of Allen County.
