David G. Pugh, 80, a retired TXI employee, died Thursday, June 1, 2006, in Fort Worth from complications of pneumonia.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Bethesda Cemetery in Burleson.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in
Burleson.

Memorials: Bethesda Baptist Church, Box 756, Burleson, Texas 76097; Bethesda Cemetery Association, 6801 CR 803, Burleson, Texas 76028; or a charity of choice.

David G. Pugh was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Fort Worth to Warren and Jennie McGlathery Pugh. He married Sue Eakin on Nov. 23, 1957, in Durant, Okla. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church for 62 years.

Survivors: Wife of 48 years, Sue Pugh of Burleson; daughter, Gilda Garrett and husband, J.D., of Burleson; granddaughter, Ami Curci and husband, Tony, of Redwood City, Calif.; grandsons, Shane and Chad Garrett of Burleson; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Ashlin, Sheldon and Grayson; sister-in-law, Maisie Pugh of Lawrenceville, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; many other family members; and his faithful friend, "Smokey."
