WATERLOO - Myrtle A. Bartosch-Hein, 87, of Waterloo, died on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at Fort Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waterloo with the Rev. Thomas Gillespie officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo.
Visitation is at the church on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Leukemia Re-search Foundation.
Myrtle was born Sept. 12, 1920, in Humboldt, Canada, daughter of Carl and Marie (Cummings) Nelson. She married John Bartosch on Nov. 30, 1940, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waterloo. He died on July 20, 1983. She later married Russell Hein on Oct. 17, 1997.
Myrtle was a graduate of Madison East High School. She had been employed at Weinberg Shoes in Waterloo and also worked with the State Employment Office in Watertown. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waterloo and Royal Neighbors. She sold Avon products for more than 20 years.
Myrtle loved her flower garden and enjoyed playing cards.
Surviving are her husband, Russell Hein of Waterloo; a daughter, Sally Hoffman of Baraboo; a grandson, Robert Hoffman of Baraboo; two brothers, Robert (Alinda) Nelson of Madison and Herbert (Lois) Nelson of Windsor; a sister, Carol Nelson of Fond du Lac; a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Virginia; a son-in-law, Robert Hoffman; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth.
