Nelson, Herbert Carl and Nelson, Lois Louise (Danner)
MADISON-Herbert Carl Nelson, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at home. He was born in Madison, on Aug. 5, 1924, the son of Carl and Marie (Cummings) Nelson. Lois Louise (Danner) Nelson, age 71, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, at home. She was born in Carthage, MO, on June 4, 1937, the daughter of Hugo and Lillian (Millard) Danner. Herb and Lois were married Aug. 17, 1968, in Madison. Herb served in the U.S. Naval Air Force and was a member of the Wisconsin Mason's Union. He was a plasterer and Lois was a waitress. Both worked in the Madison area for many years and resided in Madison and DeForest, Wis. Herb is survived by his sister, Carol (Jeff Frye) Nelson; and his brother, Robert (Lin) Nelson; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives. Herb and Lois are survived by their daughter, Faith Fulton (Herb's faithful caregiver for several years); and their son, Bobby (Nancy) Stockam; nine grandchildren, Shelly and Dana Gorsuch, Jessica Conley, Justin Stockam, Tanya Gutierrez, Hope Fulton, Joshua, Destiny and Chase Schroeder; fourteen great grandchildren, Alex, Travis, Austin, Jeremy, Holden, Henry, Harrison, Jillian, Jaynie, Alex, Angelina, Brayden, Easton and Jordyn. Herb and Lois were preceded in death by their parents; their daughter, Marilyn Gorsuch, their son, Walter Fulton, three infant granddaughters; his sisters, Myrtle Bartosch-Hein (John Bartosch, Russell Hein) and Virginia "Toots" (Ken) Ahrens; her sisters, Lola, Leyla and Fay; and her brother, Gene.
