Mr. C.M. Deener, of Montpelier, an old Union Soldier and a respected citizen, passed over the river of death last Sunday. Infirmities of old age being the cause of death. He was a member of Capt. O.B. Patteson's Company and had a good record as a soldier. One by one they pass over the divide, thinning the ranks as the years go by.
