Mrs. Estelle Giles Hodges, 87, of Deepstep died Sunday, Feb. 6 in an Augusta hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Mayo -Lord funeral Home with Rev. Charles Webster officiating. Burial followed in Brownwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Hodges was born in Washington County, Sept. 15, 1985. She was the daughter of John I. Giles and Minnie Hicklin and was a member of Deepstep Methodist church. She was the wife of Clifford Hodges.
Survivors include four daughter, Mrs. T.A. (Dot) Wiggins, Mrs. Everett (Betty) Trussell and Nina Nesbit, all of Sandersville, Mrs. Alonzo (Lavin) Hutchings of Deepstep; fifteen grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. George Garrett of Warrenton, Mrs. Otha Voss of LaGrange and Mrs. Brown Fulmer of Leebburn, Fla.
Pallbearers were Tommy Wiggins, Stan Wiggins, Ronnie Trussell, William Hutchings, Chris Hutchings, Darrell Hutchings, Chip Nesbitt and Skip Nesbitt.
Mayo-Lord Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
