John W. Giles, Pharmacy Owner, Dies
John Warthen Giles was the retired owner of Giles Pharmacy in Hapeville and for may years associated with Jacobs Pharmacy Company in Atlanta.
Giles, 59, was born in Sandersville and graduated from the Southern College of Pharmacy in 1938. He was a member of the College Park First Methodist Church and the Georgia Pharmaceutical Association. His home was at 3373 College St., College Park, GA.
Mr. Giles, 59, died in a private hospital after suffering a heart attack.
Survivors include his widow, a daughter, a son and five sisters. Services will be held at 11 am Friday at Carmichael's Chapel, the Rev. Thomas J Holmes and Dr. W Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will be in Brownwood Cemetery in Sandersville, GA.
