Mrs. Chloe Mamie Massay, 73, of 1031 Apollo Road, Carrollton died Thursday (June 18) in Timken Mercy Medical Center at Canton, following an illness of two years. A lifelong resident of Carroll County, she was a daughter of the late Lee S. and Mattie J. (Worley) Beckley. She was a member of the Scroggsfield United Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Howard, died in 1978.
She is survived by a son and two daughters, William of Minerva, Dorothy Gween of Carrollton, and Linda Schaal of Mechanicstown, and seven grandchildren. Two brothers, Emry Beckley and Lee Beckley Jr. are deceased.
Services were held Saturday at Allmon-Dugger Funeral Home in Carrollton, with burial in the Harlem Springs Cemetery.
