Death of Mrs. Julia Fink
Mrs. Julia Fink passed away at her home at Pleasant Valley last Monday after a painful illness from dropsy and heart trouble. She was a native of Ireland and was 79 years of age. She came to California fifty years ago, and for forty-five years had lived in Pleasant Valley where her husband died twelve years ago, and where, for all the years of their residence, the family had enjoyed the respect of the community. Mrs. Fink leaves to mourn her
loss, one son, John Fink, of Pleasant Valley, and two daughters, Mrs. Jas. Ray, of Downieville, and Mrs. J. R. Luttrell, of San Diego, and six grandchildren. The funeral which was under the direction of the O'Keefe Co. was held from the Fink home last Wednesday at 2 p. m. where Rev. E. E. Clark of this city officiated assisted by Mrs. Wm. Bland and Miss Agnes Alderson in musical numbers.
The funeral called out a large number of people who gathered to pay the last tribute of respect to an old friend and neighbor.
The pall bearers were E. Twitchell, Dan Hacker, John Smith, H. Gremenger, M. McComas and G. Catto.
