ANDERSON, Hilda I. Of Clio, age 95, died Tuesday, August 5, 1997 at the Clio Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 8, 1997 at the Clio Chapel of Whipple Funeral Homes, Rev. Roger Gedcke officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church.
Hilda was born January 26, 1902 in Clio, Michigan, the daughter of William and Effie (Stevens) Habkirk. She had resided in the Clio area all of her life.
Hilda married Harold Anderson in 1927 in Ohio. He preceded her in death January 27, 1981. Hilda was a member of Bethany United Methodist church where she was involved with the Half Century Club and the Over 50 Club.
Surviving are: daughter, Joan C. and husband Dr. Tony Villanueva of Jackson; sons, Jack H. and wife Clara E. Anderson of Grand Blanc, Dr. Dean W. and wife Barbara Anderson of South Pines, NC; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Theta Hathley of Mt. Morris. Hilda was also preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Ivan and Gordon Habkirk.
