Dan E. Winterbauer, beloved husband, was born in Middletown, Illinois. He passed on Sunday in the early morning in his own home in the room he loved, with his wife by his side.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the mid 1950's. Following his Navy career, he resettled in the Bay Area, working at UC Berkeley in the Nuclear Engineering Department until he retired as superintendent of the machine shop.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline Winterbauer; daughter, Tina Fitzsimmons (Tim); step-children, Anthony Maeda (Gail), Monroe Harrison Jr. (Gloria),Sean Harrison(Emily), and Cherie Harrison; and all his beloved grandchildren Tiffani DeTar (Gabe), Katie Fitzsimmons, Jesse and Morgan Maeda, Christopher Lloyd, and Anna and Jackie Harrison.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Dan's life which will begin on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Inspiration Chapel at Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette, CA.
