DECATUR - Eugene L. Winterbauer, 80, of Carlyle formerly of Decatur, died on October 17, 2010 in Carlyle Healthcare Center, Carlyle, IL. Mr. Winterbauer was born April 28, 1930, in Lincoln, IL the son of Thomas and Georgia (Agnew) Winterbauer. He married Beulah Mae Cowgill on Aug. 31, 1951. She preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 1991. Surviving is his daughter: Pamela Sheathelm of Carlyle; son: Randy Winterbauer of Decatur; brother: Dan Winterbauer and his wife Jackie of Martinez, CA. He was preceded by his wife, son: Thomas on April 11, 2002 and two brothers. Mr. Winterbauer was a US Army Korean War Veteran.
