OBIT - FORMER CHENOA RESIDENT DIES
CHENOA, ILL -- Chris Koerner, 86 former Chenoa resident, died at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Illinois Odd Fellows home in Mattoon. His funeral was at 10 a.m. today at the chapel at the home, and burial rites in charge of the Fairbury and Mattoon Odd Fellows lodges were at 2 p.m. in Chenoa Cemetery.

He was born Oct 12, 1876, near Chenoa, son of Christian and Margaret Koerner. He married Pearl Robertson June 17, 1905 in Bloomington. She died in 1956.

Four sisters and three brothers preceded him in death. He had farmed near Fairbury and Weston until he retired in 1950. He was a member of the Fairbury Methodist Church and of the Fairbury Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodge.
