Eugene Jacky Chilton Times November 11, 1916

This community was deeply grieved on Saturday evening to hear of the death of Eugene Jacky, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jacky, which occurred at his home that evening following an illness of eight days from pneumonia. On Nov. 3rd he drove to new Holstein and on his return at the noon hour he was taken suddenly with a severe attack of pneumonia. A physician was summoned but it seemed impossible to check the advance of the disease to which he finally succumbed as above stated.
The deceased was an excellent young man and one of the popular and progressive farmers of Brothertown. He was born in that town on May 29, 1883, and spent his whole life there. In 1911 he was married to Mabel Rupp, daughter of Mrs. Philip Rupp and they began housekeeping on what is known as the Dignin farm, a short distance east of the Military road. Mr. Jacky was an excellent type of citizen, of strict integrity in all his business affairs and helpful and kind to neighbors. He was devoted to his family, parents, brothers and sisters and also to his mother-in-law, whose mainstay he has been since her husband's death.
The community mourns the untimely passing of one of its very best citizens and the deepest sympathy is felt by all for the bereft wife and relatives.
He is survived by his widow and two small children, Margery and Georgien, and his parents, two brothers, Oscar and Theo Jacky; one sister, Mrs. Albert W. Heller, mother-in-law, Mrs. Philip Rupp and sister-in-law, Miss Maude Rupp
