James W. "J.W." Hagan, 75, died Monday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a short illness. The Bulloch County native had lived in Statesboro most of his life. He was a retired service station manager, a World War II veteran and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Mills Hagan, Statesboro; one son, Joey Hagan, Detroit; one daughter, Nell Batchelor, Eatonton; two brothers, Cecil Hagan and Franklin Hagan, both of Statesboro; one sister, Gracie Carter, Warsaw, N.C.; and four grandchldren.
The funeral will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Smith-Tillman Mortuary, with Dr. Hugh Davis officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
