Mr. English was born September 6, 1932 at the old Stephen Alexander English homeplace in the farming community of Hagerville outside Kennard, Texas and still lived down the road from his birthplace until his passing. He retired from the Conoco Oil Company tugboat fleet as captain and pilot after 20 years. He served in the Navy as an airman from 1951 to 1954.
Survivors include his loving wife of 11 years, Mignon English; daughters Sherry Batey and husband Lynn, of Shepherd and Sandy English and husband Donald, of Hagerville; grandchilden Michael Wells and wife Macy, Randi Tomlinson, Christopher Batey and wife Ginger, Dana Batey, Justin Murray and wife Tasha, Daniel Murray and wife Macie and Mason Murray; niece Maureen Cromeans; nephews Jimmy Bumpers and Jay English; numerous grandchildren, other family members and special fiends.
Preceded in death by his parents Rena Hager English and George "Buck" English and his late wife Pat.
Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Gene English will be held Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2:00p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Enon Cemetery.
