Samuel Eugene Baker, 56, Stanton, husband of Frances Dee Martin Baker, died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born Sept. 22, 1950 to the late Olney and Daisy Skidmore Baker. He was an Air Force veteran and was employed by Kroger.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Dee Baker of Stanton; son, Anthony Morton; daughter, Tina Jo Svatba of Stanton; brothers, Jimmy and Robert G. Baker of Stanton; sisters, Sue and husband Henry Pitts of Jeffersonville and Patty and husband Tony Vaske of Stanton; a grandchild, Eric Satba; nieces, Christy Meadows and Georgia Vaske; and great-nephews, Anthony Meadows.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jenny Lynn Baker; sisters, Betty and Linda Baker; and a brother, Forrest Clay Baker.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Chop Chestnut Cemetery by Rev. Daryl Mullins.
Pallbearers were Phillip Svatba, Timmy Phillip, Anthony Morton, Ray Morton, Caz Morton and Tony Vaske.
Arrangements were by Wells Funeral Home Stanton.
