"Lincoln" served 17 years as a member of the Cleveland School Board. His Masonic membership proved him to be a very active Mason, of the Cleveland Lodge No. 651, A.F. and A.M. He was serving as Worshipful Master at the time of his death. He was also a member of Cleveland Chapter No. 436, Order of the Eastern Star, having served as Worthy Patron in 1951 and 1953. He was active in political, civic and social affairs in his community all of his life. He was a Deacon for 25 years for the Cleveland Christian Church.
He was the second of three sons of John and Belle (Hubbard) Fisher, respected farmers in the Cleveland area.
