I am fairly certain this headstone is for Elmira 'Ella' J Cromley who married Samuel Zentmyer on 9 Feb 1881 in Mercer County, Illinois. She appears as Elmira, age 3, daughter of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Cromley in 1860 Montour County, Pennsylvania and as Elmira age 15 in 1870 Montour Co, PA.
Jeremiah Cromley's first wife, Elizabeth, supposedly died in 1877 and by 1880 he resides in Mercer County, Illinois with some of his children.. Daughter Elmira Cromley appears as 'Ella' Cromley, age 22, servant in household of Hiram Thornton.
After her 1881 marriage to Samuel Zentmyer(s) they moved to Henry County, Iowa where they appear on the 1885 Iowa State Census. At least two children were born to Elmira/Ella and Samuel in Henry County, Iowa, namely John Ray Zentmyer born 15 Dec 1881 and Everett Cromley Zentmyer born 18 Jun 1884.
After Elmira/Ella's death, Samuel Zentmyer returned to Mercer County, Illinois where he married Jennie M Tarr on 17 Mar 1887. Samuel and Jennie appear to have had two children: Lily A Zentmyer b. 27 Mar 1888 [md Ernest Gallup] and George W Zentmyer born 22 Feb 1890 in Henry County, Iowa.
