Mrs. Mary Isabelle Hand, 62, pioneer resident
of the Montesano district, who died Friday,
afternoon, February 23, 1928 at her home on
the old east road. Mrs. Hand was stricken
shortly after returning from a trip to
Aberdeen.
Besides her husband, Hiram, pioneer Harbor
resident, Mrs. Hand is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. H. F. Rohroig of Tacoma,
and Mrs. Roy Mann, Aberdeen; two brothers,
Simon D. Crumley, Montesano, and Jeremiah
Crumley, Illinois, and a sister, Mrs.
Barbara Manning, Pacific Beach, Cal.
Mrs. hand was an active worker in the
Woman's Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of
Eagles, who attended the funeral in a body.
Funeral services were held from the
Whiteside chapel Sunday afternoon, with
Rev. Forsyth officiating. Interment was in
the Fern Hill cemetery, Aberdeen.
