Mrs. Monterey Ann Johnson Hopkins Henderson age 78, of Alpharetta, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 3, 2010 after a courageous 16 year battle with cancer.
She was born June 26, 1931 to the late Pierce Hubert Johnson and Monterey Elizabeth Boozer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands William W. "Bill" Hopkins and Carlos O. Henderson.
Survivors include her children Linda Eiland and her husband Roy of Prosper TX, Melba Franklin and her husband Don of Alpharetta, Monterey Thompson and her husband Dan of McDonough, Mark Hopkins and his wife Tiersa of College Station TX; grandchildren Tori and Meigs Miller, Trace and Jeni Major, Terri and Chuck Flannagan, Nicole and Bill Bertram, Sheli and Robert Upchurch, Jordon Hopkins, Charles Hopkins, Raleigh Thompson and Meredith Thompson; great-grandchildren Kyndall Miller, Sterling Miller, Jack Major, Millie Kate Major, Elizabeth Bertram, Tinsley Bertram, William Bertram, Franklin Bertram, Coleman Upchurch, Ella Upchurch and Knox Flannagan.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday January 7, 2010 at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel. Rev. A. B. Hatfield will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
