Mary Woodbeck Hamblin, 82, of Hayward, died Thursday, Dec. 29 at the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

She was born Nov. 20, 1923 in Stone Lake, the daughter of Herman and Mary (Maple) Isaacson. She married James Woodbeck in 1942. She lived in the Hayward and Drummond areas where she worked as a waitress and a millworker. Her husband died in 1975. She married Dennis Hamblin on Dec. 29, 1979. She then made her home in the Hayward area until the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband Dennis; four daughters, Janice (Frank) Cunningham, MaryEllen Voight, Shirley (Jim) Morey, and Sandy (Dean) Lester, all of Hayward; 12 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; seven step-children; and many step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Jim, an infant son and a brother, Gilbert.

Funeral: The Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Jan. 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery in Stone Lake.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Hayward Regional Hospice, 15910W Company Lake Road, Hayward, WI 54843.
