Harvey Wendell Cox, Jr. 27, a former Waco race car driver, died Thursday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel, Ernie Christie officiating. Burial will be in China Spring Cemetery.
Mr. Cox was born June 22, 1963, in Houston. He moved to China Spring when he was a child and graduated from China Spring High School in 1981. He was a member of the Central Texas Horse Show Association and a former race car driver at the Heart O'Texas Cowtown Speedways. He was a member of Lake Shore Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents, Harvey and Karen Cox, R. of Waco; maternal grandmother, Grace Schultz of Houston.
