1860 census 21 Jul Elizabeth Town, Hardin, Kentucky age 14 with parents and seven siblings.
1900 Census listed in the Indian Territory, Chicasaw Nation, 18th July 1900. Listed as white with wife, Belle and five children. They lived in a dug out.
1903 died from gunshot to the face. There was an inquest and no one was charged. (See The Byrd Family novel by Helen Crow Bohn for some idea of his life with his family. She did research by interviewing members of the family in California and traveling to Kansas to interview the oldest grandson in the family, Leslie Crow 1900-1989.)
