Willie Jo Murray, age 82, of Palestine, Texas died January 7, 2011 at the Cartmell Home for the Aged in Palestine. Burial at Land of Memory Cemetery was under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home. She was born April 27, 1929 in Corsicana, Texas. Mrs. Murray is survived by her husband, Alford D. Murray of Palestine. They married January 7, 1946. She is also survived by her children, Glenda Shields and husband Freddie, Brenda Fontenot, Bill Murray and wife Suzette, and Randy Murray and wife Sue; sister, Louise Billups; grandchildren, Rhonda Abbott, Shane Shields, Kimberley Cross, Tammy Scroggins, David Kearns, Summer Murray, Lisa See, Lori Morrow, Lynn Goolsby, and Heather Messer; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
