GLIDA OPAL CLINE BOOR
Glida Opal Cline Boor daughter of Elmer E. and Nettie Wiard Cline was born June 4, 1904, in Woodburn, and died October 22, 1991, at Osceola at age 87.
Mrs. Boor received her education in Clarke County and graduated from 11th grade at Woodburn High School in 1921 and from the 12th grade in Osceola in the spring of 1922. She taught school in Clarke County and at Woodburn. She taught a total of 30 years before her retirement in 1971.
She married Russel Warren Boor on June 10, 1924, at Indianola. The couple were the parents of two children. Glida was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star Chapter at Woodburn, the Retired Teachers Association and The Osceola United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russel; her parents; two brothers, Jack and Ferol and a sister, Dorothy.
She leaves to mourn her death a daughter, Barbara Mason and her husband, Ivan, of Osceola, a son, Robert Boor and his wife Pam, of Sheboygan Falls, Wis.; five grandchildren, Bruce Mason and his wife, Jean; Gayle Mason Keane and her husband, Dennis, Brian Mason and his wife, Cherie, Elizabeth Boor and Patricia Erwin and five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Charline Oliver and husband, Horace, of Phoenix, Ariz., Ruth Rogers and her husband, Roland of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Ona Powell of Chariton; a brother, Leland Cline and his wife, Helen, of Belle Vista, Ark.; sister-in-law, Mrs. R. L. "Pat" Niblo of Des Moines; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Boor had many fond memories of her former students over the years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
