Services for Ollie Johnson, 81, of Diboll, were held Monday, Feb. 9, 1987 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services under the auspices of the Burke Masonic Lodge at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Johnson was born Oct. 5, 1905 and died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1987 in a Lufkin hospital. He was a retired plant supervisor for Temple-White Company, where he was employed for 30 years. He was a member of the Burke Masonic Lodge and the First Baptist Church of Diboll.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Shell) Johnson of Diboll; daughters, Bobbye Medina of Pascagoula, Miss, and Linda Cook of Lovelady; sons, Von Jr. of Lufkin, James R. of Houston, Joseph S. of Lufkin; brother, Willie Neal Johnson of Franklinton, La.; sister, Elvie Lawrence of Varnado, La.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
