John B. Dalle Nogare, 91, of Lomira, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.

He was born on July 21, 1923, in Centerville, Iowa, the son of the late Domenico and Theresa (Del Ponte) Dalle Nogare, and on May 21, 1949, he was united in marriage to Ruby Mittelstadt in Lomira.

John proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II with the 382 Anti-Aircraft Battalion. He was employed by Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, retiring after 33 years of service and was a member of John was always a happy person with a good, kind heart and a vibrant personality. He loved gardening, fishing, being outdoors, traveling, spending time and vacationing with family, spending winters in Florida and socializing with friends. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.

Those John leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 65 years, Ruby; nine children, John Dalle Nogare of Estero, Florida, James (Robin) Dalle Nogare of Fond du Lac, Mary (Larry) Zills of Beech Grove, Tennessee, Dan (Mary) Dalle Nogare of West Bend, Gerald (Katherine) Dalle Nogare of Oakfield, Donna Johnson (special friend, Jim Kruger) of Malone, Diane Dalle Nogare (special friend, Kyle Fredrick) of Lomira, David (Lyra) Dalle Nogare of Brownsville and Marie Dalle Nogare of Lomira; two sisters, Lena Paleologo of Texas and Albena Campagna of Fond du Lac, 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a son, Donald; a sister, Mary Dalle Nogare; two brothers-in-law, Fred Paleologo and Bob Campagna; two grandsons, Derrick and Christopher; a great-granddaughter, Stella and a son-in-law, Jim Johnson.

A Mass of Christian Burial for John will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lomira with Father Michael Petersen officiating. Military honors performed by members of the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 347 Lomira will follow the Mass and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

John's family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. and again at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the are appreciated.
