Mrs. Minnick was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Geneseo, to Charles and Mayme (Wirth) Plasschaert. She married Leo Donald Minnick on Oct. 19, 1946, in Ohio. He preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1980. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen Minnick of Loves Park; two sons, Patrick Minnick of Rockford and Michael (Linda) Minnick of Mendota; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Harvey Plasschaert of Mount Zion; and two sisters, Lois (Robert) Minnick of Ohio and Sharon (Gene) Calsyn of Sheffield.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Daniel Charles in infancy; and one grandson.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Sublette, with the Rev. Max Lasrado officiating. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery, Ohio. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Schwarz Funeral Home, Mendota, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
