He later married Ledo Lea and together they had one daughter, Angela. Perry lived in Dallas County, Texas, for most of his life. He returned to Durant where he worked for the City of Durant. He later moved to the veterans home in Bonham, Texas. He passed away April 13, 2005, in Garland, Texas.
He is survived by his sons, Perry Wayne and Danny, and daughter Angela Whitfield.
He was grandpa to six and great-grandpa to seven.
He was preceded in death by Mildred and all seven of his siblings
