Mr. Stack was a veteran of World War II, serving with a mortar company in the Europe. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was the owner-operator of Stack Plumbing in Salina from 1948 to 1979. He then worked for City Plumbing until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion and VFW.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, in 2010, a son, Greg, in 1992 and a daughter, Susan Weisenburger, in 2005. Survivors included two sons, Rodney and John; four daughters, Linda Deneault, Mary Porter, Pat Ernzen and Teresa Wilson; twin sisters, Joan Pierce and June Fisher; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
