SOUTH BEND - Joseph Swilo Sr., 52, of Lexington, Kentucky., formerly of South Bend, Indiana, died Sunday in his home of natural causes.
Mr. Swilo retired as a field engineer from NCR in South Bend after 17 years. He was born Feb. 2, 1943, in Ozierawa, Poland.
He is survived by his wife, Tyra Wolfe Swilo of Lexington; a daughter, Jennifer L. of Lexington; three sons, Joseph Jr., John E. and James A., all of Lexington; three grandchildren; his father, Peter Swilo of South Bend; and two sisters, Donna VanOoteghem of Mishawaka and Helen Knappenberger of Granger.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
