RAMSEUR, NC ~ James Royal Roach, 89, of U.S. 64 East, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, at his residence.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, at Faith Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Gary Moger and the Rev. Kevin Franklin. Burial will be in Kildee Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
He was an Axton, Va. native, retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Marjorie Frazier Roach of the residence; daughter, Jean Bateman of South Carolina; sisters, Mary Page of Reidsville and Dakota French of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2001, at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, and other times at the residence.
