Mrs. Mary Dot Adkins Carrico, age 90, of Bryant, Arkansas, (formerly of Mexia, Texas), passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, in Bryant, Arkansas. She was born in Carrolton, Missouri, on November 3, 1920, to the late Mr. and Mrs. J.G. Adkins. She was married to the late Frank Hubert Carrico, Sr., for sixty-two years. Mrs. Carrico was a devout Christian. She served on Mission Trips to Spain and the Philippines. She worked for many years for Central Baptist Church in Sulphur, Louisiana, in the Mothers-Day-Out Program. She and her husband worked as Missionaries through the Port of Lake Charles between the years of 1983 through 1999. She served as a Pink Lady for Calcasieu Hospital in Sulphur for 20 years. In her final years, she was a member of Hurricane Lake Baptist Church in Bryant, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Frank Hubert Carrico, Jr., one brother Glen Adkins, five sisters Dorothy Hall, Majorie Williams, Mattie Jane Carrico, Lula Mae Nelson and Leona Deats.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Pat and John Davis, of Bryant, Arkansas, many beloved nieces and nephews, adopted families the Nicholson's and the Hardin's and one brother-in-law Steve Hall.
Graveside Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Mexia City Cemetery in Mexia, Texas, with her nephew Bro. Kenneth Adkins officiating. Burial to follow in Mexia City Cemetery, Mexia, Texas. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home, Prescott, Arkansas.
