Jacob appears in the 1860 census with his wife Rosanna and 2 sons; John and William, along with a boarder named Anna Campbell. According to family, There was a Miller family living in Union Twp., sometime between 1845 and 1850. In the 1850 Census, there is but one Miller family living in Union Township and that is the John S. Miller family, with wife Rosanna and children; Rebecca, Thomas, David, Samuel, John Adam Miller, Martin Wesley Miller, and Rosana. Jacob is not listed with family as he would be an adult by then. The only other Miller in Union Twp., at that time was Samuel Miller age 20, a Laborer for the Rhen family, living not far from the Kreiser Family.
