Wilma M. Conaway, 87, of Parkersburg passed away July 15, 2002, at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born June 23, 1915, in Harrisville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles Roscoe and Kathryn Elizabeth Beckner Martin.
Wilma was a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and was a licensed nursing home administrator. She and her husband owned and operated Mound View Care Center in Moundsville and Pine View Continuous Care in Harrisville. She was a fellow in the American College of Nursing Home Administrators and had been a member of the Altar Guild of the Church.
She is survived by her husband, A. Herman Conaway; one son, Larry Conaway and his wife Jennifer of Parkersburg; one daughter, Lynda Kirk and her former husband William Edward Kirk of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Melaney Parrish of Vienna, David Conaway in Wyoming, Mike Conaway and Cynda Kirk, both of Parkersburg; five great-grandchildren, Lindsey Conaway, Alex Conaway, Erica Parrish, Amanda Lynch and Jerad Kirk; and one great-great-grandchild, Matthew Lynch.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffery Lynn Kirk, and a sister, Gladys Hymen Evans.
