Sarah Ann Hicken was born June 13, 1870 to Thomas Hicken and Margaret Powell in Heber City, Utah. She was Thomas' ninth child and third daughter. A beautiful child, whose pride was her long ringlets of hair, she died at fourteen years of age on September 4, 1884.
