Charlie A Perkins, 81, of 2401 W Madison Ave., died Wednesday at the Royal C Johnson Memorial Hospital.
He was born at Morris County, Kan., and moved to Colton in 1918. He married Della Swanosn on Aug. 16, 1924 and operated the Old Shady Lane General Store in Colton until moving to Sioux Falls in 1939. He retired from John Morrell & Co. in 1962.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harold, Anchorage, Alaska, and Jesse, Sioux Falls; four daughters, Mrs Tressie Sitting, Brandon; Mrs Evelyn Tiesen and Mrs Betty Anderson both of Sioux Falls, and Mrs Lillian Stockel, Casper, Wyo,; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3:30 pm Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home.
