Dorothy L. Adams of West Chester Dorothy L. Adams, 87, of West Chester, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Phoenixville. She was the widow of John T. "Jack" Adams, who died in 1983. Born on her father's birthday in Kings Lynn, England, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Ethel Wright Westcott. Since she was old enough, during World War II, she worked for the British war effort commuting to and from London. She worked at Baldwin's Electric for nearly 40 years as a counter person and all-around assistant. Dorothy is survived by a son, Patrick D. Adams of Glenmoore and his wife Mary and son, Gregory, a daughter, Lynn M. Scott of West Chester and her husband Rich and their daughters, Jacqui, Suzann, and Shelly, and son, Jason; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 4, at Founds Funeral Home Inc., 229 S. High St., West Chester, 610-696-0134, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Green Mount Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380; or to The Salvation Army, 101 East Market Street, West Chester, PA 19380; or to the Alzheimer's Association , Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
