Born on December 20, 1941, a native of Pittsburgh, Br. Timothy was a product of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School there and St. Mary's High School in McKee's Rocks, PA. In 1962, he joined the Carmelites at Infant of Prague Villa in Akron, OH. Br. Tim made his simple profession of vows there on September 8, 1963 and three years later on September 11, 1966, made his solemn profession at St. Leo's Church in Pittsburgh, PA.
In his early years, Br. Tim served the Carmelite community in the area of food management. From his beginning as buyer at Mt. Carmel College in Niagara Falls, Ont, his ability to manage the cafeteria, the cooks, and the staff, soon became evident. He served in this capacity at the Carmelite Junior Seminary in Hamilton, MA; Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, AZ; DeSales High School in Louisville, KY and at Mount Carmel High School in Chicago. Br. Tim, who enjoyed fine dining, was responsible for successfully forwarding a catering business by turning the cafeteria at DeSales High School into the "Coach Room" where many wedding receptions and other banquets occurred.
With a short respite serving in Parish ministry at St. Cecilia Church in Englewood, NJ, Br. Timothy then joined the faculty at DeSales High School in Louisville, KY. During that time, he attended Spaulding University there and was most proud of receiving his Bachelors degree in Religious Studies in 1980. He then taught religion at DeSales for the next ten years. In 1990 he joined the faculty at Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago where he taught Freshmen Theology. Br. Timothy's life was centered on his love for every assignment, his love of life, the enjoyment of fine dining, and his passion for travel
