CORAPEAKE - Mary Elizabeth Byrum , 49, of the 400 block of Union Branch Road, died April 19, 2000.
Born in Norfolk, Miss Byrum was employed with Suffolk Radiology Associates for 18 years and for five years with Portsmouth Cardiology Associates. She was a member of Eureka Baptist Church.
Surviving are her parents, Elton B. and Elizabeth Robertson Byrum of the home; two sisters, Helen Ragland and Gloria Wiggins, both of Richmond; a brother, E.B. Byrum Jr. of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p. m . Saturday in Eureka Baptist Church by the Rev. Cameron Currin and the Rev. James Davenport. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in her memory be made to University Hospice Care, 521 W. Myers St., Ahoskie, NC 27910 or to Eureka Baptist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 68, Corapeake, NC 27926.
